Diesel Storage Containment
A prefabricated secondary-containment liner system across an approximately ~35,000 sq ft diesel and lubricant storage area at an industrial facility in Texas. Phoenix prepped, primed, and lined the containment floor and sloped perimeter berms, then sealed every seam, tank foundation, drain, and penetration with spray-applied PHX6700 polyurea — one continuous barrier around a live fuel tank farm.

What we installed
Prefabricated Liner System
A prefabricated secondary-containment liner installed across roughly 35,000 sq ft of containment floor and sloped perimeter berms — the primary barrier holding a diesel and lubricant release inside the containment area.
PHX6700 Seam & Detail Sealing
Field seams, tank foundations, drains, sumps, penetrations, and perimeter terminations were sealed with plural-component, spray-applied PHX6700 polyurea at 60–80 mils — turning separate liner sections into one continuous, monolithic barrier.
Primer & Base Coat
Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Dura-Plate 235 (~8 mils combined) on the designated concrete, metal, perimeter, drain, penetration, and termination areas — the prepared, primed foundation the liner and polyurea bond to.
Every Detail Integrated
Tank foundations, drain and sump openings, pipe and conduit penetrations, concrete-to-liner and metal-to-liner transitions, stairs, valves, and supports were all worked into the system so containment stays continuous through a congested equipment field.
Surface Preparation
Abrasive sandblasting, pressure washing, and removal of dirt, debris, loose coatings, and oxidation across concrete and metal. Moisture testing and required mitigation were completed and the substrates accepted before any primer or liner went down.
Outcome
A continuous secondary-containment barrier across the full diesel and lubricant storage area — engineered to contain spills and protect the ground beneath an active fuel-storage operation.
35,000 sq ft around a live tank farm
Scale and site geometry were the challenge — a large basin with sloped berms, congested with tanks, piping, valves, and drains, all of it staying in service while we worked.
~35,000 sq ft across large sloped containment berms and irregular site geometry.
Multiple diesel and lubricant storage tanks with extensive piping, conduits, valves, drains, and fixed equipment to integrate around.
Field-seaming prefabricated liner sections and holding coating thickness at seams, edges, and complex transitions.
Protecting active infrastructure and maintaining continuous containment while coordinating inside an operating industrial facility.
